The Voodoo Maestro Mike Dillon Shifts Gears Again – Brings New Band to Café Paradiso! Apocalypso Opens!
Mike Dillon will appear in Fairfield on Sept 21with a new trio – consisting of Claude Coleman Jr. and JJ Jungle. The mad scientist of the vibraphone will be performing music off of his latest release “Band Of Outsiders” as well as material spanning as far back as the infamous Billy Goat.
JJ Jungle is a long time collaborator of Mr Dillon having played bass in Billy Goat, Hairy Apes Bmx and Mike Dillon’s Go Go Jungle. JJ is also a great vocalist who will offer a soulful contrast to the gruff vocals of Mr. Dillon. Rounding out the trio is the great Claude Coleman Jr. This New Jersey Native played drums with Ween for years and recently toured with The Eagles of Death Metal. Mike is excited to have a drummer of this magnitude on tour for daily punk jazz percussive duels.
This will be Mr Dillon’s last tour before going on tour with Primus and the Chocolate Factory playing vibes and marimba in the Fungi Ensemble.
Fairfield’s own maestros Apocalypso Tantric Boys Choir will open – featuring Eric and David Hurlin and James Moore.
It doesn’t get better that this. Be there!
Showtime is: Sunday, September 21st at 8PM
Tickets are: $10 in advance at Cafe Paradiso or $12 at the door.
